My journey to becoming a doula began with a deeply personal healthcare experience that, while challenging, sparked a powerful transformation. It inspired me to turn feelings of powerlessness into purpose, leading me to become a full-spectrum community-based birth doula and the Executive Director of Sawubona Enterprises. “Sawubona,” a beautiful Zulu greeting meaning “I see you,” reflects my mission: to ensure every birthing family and their community feels seen, valued, and fully supported. Through education, access, and personalized care, we strive to make every family’s experience as empowering as possible. As a Mental Health First Aid instructor, I also love equipping communities with tools to support those navigating mental health challenges. Our story is our glory. Let's connect!
